Playbill Travel Experience

Why Playbill Travel?
Experience a vacation like never before. We craft each Playbill Travel experience for the discerning traveler with a passion for theatre, music, culture and the arts. In February, indulge in our convenient winter-getaway sailing in the idyllic Caribbean as a way to escape the cold, frostbitten doldrums of February.

The genesis of Playbill Travel was simply to bring together theatre lovers with a passion for travel. We had no idea when we started operating vacations in 2011, that it would be met with such a remarkable reception from both the public and Broadway community. In five years, over 1,500 Playbill Travel guests have sailed on six voyages and visited over two dozen countries including Italy, Greece, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Poland, Germany, French Polynesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Caribbean.

Our esteemed roster of performers includes some of the greatest talents the stage has ever known, including Patti LuPone, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Tommy Tune, Christine Ebersole, Norm Lewis, Andrea Martin, Lewis Black, Laura Benanti, Cheyenne Jackson, Megan Hilty, Laura Osnes, Liz Callaway, Paulo Szot and many, many more.

Our signature experiences on Playbill Travel vacations include:

  • Intimate twilight and evening performances with the greatest talent on Broadway
  • Lively discussions and intriguing seminars
  • Unique never-before-seen star pairings, duets and song debuts
  • “Playbill After Dark” gatherings
  • Star-hosted excursions
  • Autograph and Photo sessions
  • Expert travel planning from Playbill Travel’s agency Judy Perl Worldwide
  • Talent hosted cocktail parties, meals and much more!

Three more exciting Broadway on the High Seas adventures are lined up for 2017 season:

February 17-24 2017: San Juan, Gustavia, Philipsburg, Basseterre, St. John’s, Pointe-a-Pitre, St. Thomas

This luxurious week of sun and songs is now bursting with the most talent we have ever enjoyed on any cruise with Brian Stokes Mitchell, Tony Yazbeck, Melissa Errico, Judy Kuhn, Howard McGilin, Alice Ripley, Bryan Batt, Louise Pitre, Ernie Sabella, Karen Mason, and musical direction by Grammy winner John McDaniel. Enjoy a respite from a frigid winter by basking in the warmth of the Caribbean sun.

Enjoy a week full of Broadway, Bordeaux, and brie on one of Europe’s finest luxury ship, the S.S. Catherine. Witness the majestic landscapes and historic villages along the River Rhone, one of the most historic parts of France. Renowned sommelier Jean-Luc Le Du will provide an exquisite sampling of regional wines, to complement a rich selection of cheeses. We are finalizing our headlining performers, but rest assured—we will, as always, have great entertainment and fun activities for all our friends and passengers.

The adventure on our second European river cruise begins in Basel! Guests will discover the gorgeous region of Alsace, whose combined French and German heritage has created unique world-renowned cuisine and palate-pleasing wines.
